I2I Vector Control Professional Placement Programme 2024

Our partners at I2I are excited to announce the launch of the Vector Control Professional Placement Programme, with the first placement applications for Vector Product Development Associate with Vestergaard and Envu now open for applications on the I2I website.

The Vector Control Professional Placement Programme (VCP3), an initiative of Innovation to Impact and funded by the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, will place researchers from African institutes with developers of vector control tools to build skills and knowledge in all aspects of product development. Successful applicants will be integrated into product development teams where they will gain first-hand product development experience and training in areas such as R&D best practices, business planning and product lifecycle management. In addition to training, researchers will receive personal development and mentorship opportunities to build their project management and product development skillset.

All placements are fully funded, 12-month secondments, allowing researchers to return to their home institute to support knowledge transfer. Ideal candidates will currently be working in vector control at a reputable African research institute, hold a Master of Science and/or Doctor of Philosophy and have proven, relevant work experience.

If you are passionate about malaria vector control and are seeking an opportunity to work with leading industry partners, we want to hear from you!
