Meet the Mentors of the PAMCA Women in Vector Control Mentorship Programme "LiftHer2" – Cohort II

We are delighted to introduce you to the Mentors of the PAMCA WiVC Mentorship Program "LiftHer2" – Cohort II. PAMCA foresees mentorship as a key stepping stone in strengthening the role of women in vector control (WiVC) and for advancing their involvement in the leadership arena. The mentorship programme is an annual programme that focuses on women working on vector-borne diseases in the African continent. Mentors and Mentees are competitively selected from a shortlist of applicants based on a pre-determined criterion.

The objectives of the PAMCA Women in Vector Control Mentorship Programme are:

  1. To develop a structured and robust mentorship programme targeting African WiVC
  2. To promote personal and professional development through knowledge transfer from skilled women in vector-borne diseases (VBDs) in Africa and the diaspora
  3. To empower and build confidence in the work done by WiVC
