PROGRAMME INTERN
Reports to:
Programme Manager, Capacity Building and Gender Main Streaming and Scientific Operations Director.
Reponsible for:
Providing scientific administration support.

Location:
Will be based in Kenya. This role requires occasional travel to field to oversee data collection in Western Kenya.
Terms:
Appointment in the program will be for a period of Three (3) months renewable.

Responsibilities:
Under the guidance of Head malaria/sequencing Laboratory, the assistants will be expected to:
- Participate in research protocol development.
- Assist in running assays for research project.
- Assist in the maintenance project records.
- Assist in report writing.
- Supervise data collection and cleaning.
- Coordinate field planning and activities.
- Organize project planning meetings.
- Assist in other tasks to support the day to day running of the project.
Skills Knowledge Experience:
Essential
- Must have graduated with a BSc. Biochemistry / Biomedical/ Medical Biology /microbiology/ Biotechnology or any related course from a recognized institution.
- MSc is an added advantage
- Experience in insecticide resistance monitoring, more especially bioassays
- Past experience with mosquito raring
- Past experience field work and community engagement.
- Past experience with report writing
- Good communication skills.
- 1.5 years cumulative experience.
- Provide a Certificate of good conduct.
- Must be fluent in English.
